Taking encaustic off the canvas into the realm of 2D tactile surfaces and 3D sculptural effects, this class covers the technical aspects of of encaustic wax painting on traditional substrates with alternative materials as well as, alternative substrates & surfaces.
Lessons cover the use of alternative materials such as cardboard, plexiglas, paper clay, cement, drywall compound, plaster and plaster cloth.
Sculptural objects and tactile surfaces may be large and freestanding, sized on a more intimate scale, or hung on the wall. This class goes wide and deep to cover it all!
