(aka: hardware store, home improvement centers, salvaged/deconstructed materials, etc).

Construct: Concrete and Architecture
Whether you find inspiration in the decay of an urban graffitied wall, subtle details on the city street, prints and patterns of interior design, or the decedent colors in architecture around the world, this course will lead you through the process of translating what you see into beautiful works of art using humble materials from the construction zone.
Take the mystery out of using concrete as an art medium to create beautiful textured surfaces, tromp l’loeil style finishes, and simple recipes to add durability, character, and strength difficult and more expensive to achieve with traditional art mediums.
This course focuses on work created on traditional art panels, but salvaged wood or custom cuts from the home improvement center work well.
Projects are applicable for those who work with and without encaustic wax medium and includes a lesson on the encaustic basics, which you’ll have access to as soon as you register!

With a total of 27 prerecorded video lessons, organized in 4 modules and 6 submodules, plus a bonus encaustic basics lesson for those who need it, this class is loaded with inspiration!
